School Rules & Guidelines

Creating a Safe, Disciplined and Positive Learning Environment

At The Doon Vantage Public School, we believe that discipline, respect, responsibility, and cooperation are essential for a child's overall growth. These rules and guidelines help maintain a safe, healthy, and productive learning environment for every student.

1. Attendance

  • Students must attend school regularly and be punctual.
  • A minimum attendance of 75% is required during the academic session.
  • Leave should be requested in advance whenever possible.
  • In case of illness, a medical certificate may be required for extended absence.
  • Students returning after leave must submit a leave application signed by their parents or guardians.

2. School Timings

  • Students should reach the school at least 10–15 minutes before the reporting time.
  • Late arrival may not be permitted without a valid reason.
  • Parents are requested to ensure timely pick-up of their children after school hours.

3. School Uniform

  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform on all working days.
  • Uniform should be clean, neat, and properly maintained.
  • Black shoes should be polished and worn with clean socks.
  • Students should maintain proper personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Jewellery, expensive accessories, and fancy hairstyles are not permitted.

  • Respect teachers, staff, classmates, and visitors.
  • Speak politely and use appropriate language.
  • Maintain discipline inside and outside the classroom.
  • Take care of school property.
  • Keep classrooms and the campus clean.
  • Follow teachers' instructions at all times.
  • Demonstrate honesty, kindness, and responsibility.
Important Note: Bullying, physical fights, abusive language, discrimination, vandalism, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated.

5. Academic Responsibilities

  • Complete homework and assignments on time.
  • Bring all required books, notebooks, and stationery every day.
  • Participate actively in classroom activities.
  • Prepare sincerely for class tests and examinations.
  • Submit projects and holiday homework within the prescribed deadlines.

6. Parent Responsibilities

  • Ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Check the school diary and communication regularly.
  • Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings.
  • Inform the school immediately about any change in address, phone number, or emergency contact details.
  • Support their child's learning and encourage positive behaviour at home.

7. Fee Policy

  • School fees should be paid on or before the due date.
  • Delayed payment may attract late fees as per school policy.
  • Report cards, certificates, transfer certificates, and other official documents may be withheld until all outstanding dues are cleared.

8. Safety Guidelines

  • Students must follow all school safety instructions.
  • Running, pushing, or rough play in corridors and staircases is prohibited.
  • Students should immediately report any injury, illness, or unsafe situation to a teacher.
  • Parents must provide updated emergency contact details.

9. Transport Guidelines

  • Students should follow the instructions of the transport staff.
  • Parents should ensure children reach the pickup point on time.
  • Any change in transport arrangements must be communicated to the school office in writing.

10. Electronic Gadgets

  • Students are not permitted to bring mobile phones, smartwatches, electronic gadgets, or valuable items to school unless specifically authorized.
  • The school will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings.

11. Health & Hygiene

  • Students should maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Children suffering from contagious illnesses should stay at home until fully recovered.
  • Parents should inform the school about any medical condition or allergies that require special attention.

12. School Property

Students must treat school property with care and respect.

Any damage caused intentionally to school furniture, books, laboratory equipment, computers, or other property may result in disciplinary action, and the cost of repair or replacement may be recovered from the concerned student.
